Anger Management Tapes
![]() |
It seems like anger is taking over the world. Everywhere you look, it seems that people are acting out their anger in inappropriate ways. Screaming, cursing, and attacking others for small, insignificant slights is a common occurance in our daily lives. Reality shows are more popular than ever especially those that show women as two-faced and haughty. Their anger over insignificant slights makes for great television. Other shows emphasize the importance of not being "disrespected." Even the smallest incident calls for screaming fits or violence. Today, more and more people have to seek help for their anger management problems. Because many people cannot afford therapy, anger management tapes might be the answer.
People who are constantly angry need to learn how to cope with their feelings. They have to learn to relax and to let go of their anger. Anger management tapes can help with this. One of the best kinds of tapes are the relaxation tapes. These tapes show you how to breathe, how to meditate, and how to let go of the anger.
Relaxation tapes are great ways to relax. The voice on these tapes is always soothing and quiet. Soothing music plays in the background. You will be told to relax and think of beautiful places. The soothing music in the background helps your body to slow down and relax. Generally, these tapes can even help you to go to sleep. After listening to these tapes for a while, you can bring up the feelings they evoke and help you to calm down. Therefore, when you start to feel angry, you relax and get control of yourself. Managing your anger is the first step toward a happier life.
Learning the proper way to breathe is another great way to learn to manage anger. The anger management tapes will teach you how to breathe correctly. When you are stressed, you tend to breathe in a shallow manner. Therefore, your body doesn't get enough oxygen and goes into fight or flight mode. The anger gets worse and suddenly you are not able to cope. You feel yourself getting ready to fly off the handle. This is the time you use what you learned on the anger management tapes. The tapes will teach you to breathe deeply from the belly. Chest breathing doesn't get enough oxygen to the body. As you do the deep breathing exercises, you can feel your body start to relax. As you relax, your anger begins to dissipate.
Anger management tapes can be very useful in helping people to get control of their anger. Although anger is natural, being able to control that anger is essential if we are to live happy, healthy lives. These tapes can help if the anger management problems are minor. More intense problems probably need more intense therapy, but they can at least provide a starting place.
